Courage is one of the 12 Virtues that form the core of Ingenium. It is one of the virtues that belongs to the Will Quadrant. It is the fourth Virtue taught because after gaining a stronger sense of autonomy over our lives, one of the next-most common issues people deal with is fear.
The Key to Courage is called “Fear is Fiction.” It is about teaching that fear originates in the mind, and it is almost always a product of our imagination running wild with thoughts of things in the future (what might happen).
The Litany affirmation for Courage is:
All my fears reside in my mind. They feed on my thoughts, therefore, I choose to feed courageous thoughts instead. Because my fears originate within me, I possess the ability to overcome them. The things I fear exist outside of the present, and are therefore figments of my imagination. Fear is fiction. I turn my thoughts elsewhere.
The abbreviated Litany is “My fears are a product of my mind, and it is there that I subdue them.”
